I like anything that goes fast
As you may know, the ss comes 5 lug instead of the standard 4x100 4 lug. The problem is that, the gm 5 lug for their compact series is 5x110. There are ZERO lightweight performance wheels that come in a 5x110 lug pattern. Unless you can get the wheel company or a good machinest to redrill and insert a 5x114 to a 5x110, you might want to look into doing a 5x114 hub swap. Or you can carry them to a local machine shop and have them redrill new holes in the hub and rotors to 5x114. So if you dont want to be limited in heavy wheel choices, i highly recommend doing this swap to 5x114. Just my .02 cents

I believe Adam has already mentioned that they will re drill hubs for anyone if you send them.

Only problem I've noticed is that while 114.3 is a much more common pattern I'm still having trouble finding wheels. Wanting to go with the 15" up front in 16" in back setup and wanting to get the lightest wheels possible. Looking at some of the well know light weights such as Enkei RPF1 or PF01, 4x100 seems more common for the smaller size wheels. I haven't done a completely thorough search yet for other super light wheels.

Zero?

There are a couple. OZ ultraleggera and the Enkei PF01

I have the OZ Ultra's on my SS now.

EDIT: I suppose if you want smaller than 18" the stock 5x110 isn't a good option...Most 5x114 "small" lightweight wheels will be around 17"

You should have no issue finding a light weight wheel in 5x110. Yea, would won't be able to get any style like some size wheels offer, but you do have options. The OZ's that northvibe has look great on his SS.

Also, Team Dynamics has made many sets of wheels in the 5x110 pattern (team dynamics pro race 1.2) for SS guys. 17x9, 17x8, 18x8 and I think even some of gone with 18x9....I think 17x9 though would be a good size to go with.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting northvibe and rallyracer.

17 is a pretty big wheel for the front of the Goblin and a 17x9 is going to require a big tire. Looking on Tire Rack, the best I could find for the front would be a 235/40-17. This tire is very big. Here's a comparison of what we recommend for the front versus this tire:

The front tire with a 17x9 would be 1.3 inches taller and the weight would increase by 7-10 pounds per front tire and wheel combo.

To get the right front to rear balance, you'd need close to a 280 wide rear tire. 275 is close enough so you'd end up with a 275/40-17 (or a 275/35-18, they are very close to the same height). Here's how the rears compare from recommended to 17 inch:

The rear tire would be 1 inch taller than recommended and the weight would increase by 8-12 pounds per front tire and wheel combo.

What we are doing on our SS turbo car is 205/45-16 and 245/40-17 with 5x114.3 wheels. This keeps the height close to where we want it and doesn't weigh too much.

On the 4 lug base model cars we are going with 195/50-15 and 225/45-16. On upgraded 4 lug cars (supercharger or turbo kit) we are going with 205/50-15 and 245/45-16.
