5-pt harness shoulder mounting, bar or bracket?

I’m pretty sure I’m supposed to use the crossbar to mount my 5-pt harness shoulder straps (even though Corbeau sent metal brackets for the shoulders).

But then what are these brackets and four holes for?

The bracket is for the radiator overflow bottle. The 4 holes.... I think are for seatbelts, but I'm not positive.

Yes, one of them has a slot for the reservoir, but the bracket on both sides must be for something....

Those give you the option to bolt your harness on instead of strapping it to the bar. I believe the proper method is to strap it to the bar. I have never seen anyone use those brackets.

Some racing seats have an upper mount hole. We welded in those mounting brackets to give builders a place to attach to if they wanted to use the seats your mounting position.
