This is a TOUGH engine! Production block and head; all else racing-quality, which is expected, especially when getting 900+HP (WOW!)

Hey guys have you replaced the following bolts for the head at the cam gears/chain end with ARP bolts? This 12-point bolt is a terrible design.
Ecotec Head Bolt 24407225
I think most built engines run ARP studs that go the whole distance from bottom to top. That’s what I did. Unless this is something different

There are 4 of these that go into the timing cover. I reused these bolts and installed are studs in place of the torque to yield head bolts.

Ok another question just because I’m paranoid with new cams going in.
Are the head journals where the cam sits supposed to have a polished like texture like a crank bearing? My old cams feel smooth but I noticed that the head journals are not polished.
