Ignition switch doesn’t fit

Gotcha. I see from this angle. I would skip the step. And then ensure the steering pump is all correct. Otherwise. Drill new holes that make it fit. It's not a big deal for positioning.

The ring doesn’t have to be trimmed. I just did that since I had time waiting in the frame. I didn’t care for the loop-of-nothing look.

I definitely trimmed it off mine. Though at this point I won't be using the stock ignition at all. LOL

If you eventually want to install a footwell cover you will need to trim the ignition switch and bend the forward end of the switch inward a little.

I drilled out the threaded holes in the ignition switch body, used a longer bolt and nut that way you can put the switch on the other side of the bracket. That moved it over almost a full inch and worked really well.
