Justin Reed Racing DF Goblin

I like anything that goes fast
I just recently picked up a 90k mile 05 cobalt ss with the coveted LSJ engine for my donor. Its really too nice to be stripped as a donor, but i got a good deal on it so i couldnt pass it up. Paid $2100 for it and drove it home. Maybe i can sell the perfect leather seats, airbags, and body panels to cover some of the cost too.
Since i wont be receiving my track goblin until at least June, im stuck patiently waiting. Once May rolls around the fun begins and ill start stripping the donor and get it ready for the goblins arrival. After i finish assembling the goblin and its driveable, ill then remove the supercharger and manifolds and replace them with turbo manifolds with a 56mm borg warner turbo. Fuel will be upgraded as well to compensate for the extra air flow. Id1000cc injectors will replace the stock injectors, a inline fuel pump will be installed to solve any future fuel cutout issues and a boost reference fuel pressure system with a return line will be added to ramp fuel pressure during WOT under full boost. This setup will produce 400-550whp easily from 21-35psi. Since the stock long block LSJ can only handle up to 500whp without risking immediate failure, ill be running 25-28psi which will produce right under 500whp.
I cant wait for my goblin, ive always wanted something completely insane and i think i found it :)
---- i tried attaching photos, but it kept giving me a error.

Thanks for posting Justin.

I upped the max upload size to 10mb. It was at 3mb so you might have been hitting the limit. Try again and let me know if it works.

so after two years I finally had time to finish my goblin! I'm not much of a forum guy but thought id post since theres not many goblins out there.
started out with a bone stock 2005 S/C SS and finished with a turbo goblin on e85 ready to push past 500whp. Its on waste gate (15lbs) as i just made it drivable 3 days ago. Its extremely fast on just waste gate spring! Guessing around 350whp or so, its a handful. like I said I'm terrible at this so feel free to ask anything you want to know!

I saw a pic of this car yesterday when I did an instagram search. Looks amazing! The no body look really works for you.

How does it run?

Thanks man! It runs great, no major issues. Need to dial in the suspension

What are your thoughts on intercooling? I take it you’re not a fan of liquid to air?
Not a lot of options for this car.

Gotcha...Interesting; I should have looked a little closer at the picture. Are you using the DF supplied heat exchanger?

What kind of IAT2 temps are you seeing?
this is all custom, installing a wider intercooler to go all the way across instead of just the right side sometime this week. With the small one I have now I see 105 iats cruising. climb to 140-150 during a 2-3-4 pull. keep in mind thats at 30 psi pushing over 500hp. lower boost will see lower iats

Disregard my ignorance but that looks significantly lower to the ground than i am setting up.... i assume thats on purpose?
