Hi all,
I guess I will start with introducing myself, my name is Lonny Doyle, I am adam's dad and after you see how I write you will soon see that he did not get his great writing skills from me.

I thought it could be fun to blog about what we are working on each day and also about upcoming projects.

We have decided that we would like to deliver four of the kit cars that happen to fall in a convenient road trip, the only problem is we happen to own the worlds ugliest trailer, so we decided to give it a makeover.

This morning I went up to the shop, which is about a mile from our house, and removed the top rail and fenders from the trailer.

My wife Brenda and Adam and I then went roaming around looking for some place open that might have fenders but had no luck.

When we got back Adam and I returned to the shop and designed the shipping frames that will support the Goblin frames during our road trip. We also created a material list for the trailer repairs.

Tomorrow morning we are going to eagle steel to get the materials.

While most of you will not be able to meet Lonny and Adam in person, I have the good fortune to live in Texas, (Austin) that is just 4 hours from Red Oak where the shops and manufacturing facility are. Even better we have 2 grand children and a daughter that live even closer - in Flower Mound that is just 45 minutes from the shops.

I have had the opportunity to visit Lonny and Adam many times, hopefully not distracting them from building our cars but I have personally seen the degree of detail and quality engineering that have been incorporated into the cars. I am so excited to get my own built. My frame will be built after they finish the first 10 that they are building for some of you. I purchased one early that could have been one of the first 10 but I needed an extra 4" of length so I did not need to have leg shortening surgery. While I can drive both of the prototypes I wanted something that would fit me better. They were going to cut one of the 1st 10 up and extend it but as they had sales for all 10 they decided to make mine (and I think a permanent option) to have an extended version for the vertically challenged customers.

Yesterday we continued work on our trailer, we had hoped to get steel to finish the top rails but our local steel supplier was closed.
This morning i created a dimensional drawing for the quick connect used to connect the clutch line.
They get silver soldered to the steel clutch lines.
Later i machined out three sets to be delivered this coming weekend.

We also bent up three clutch lines and silver soldered the ends on.

A little while ago i finished modifying a fuel tank for an automatic transmission goblin.

Tomorrow we are going to make a tool to re-flair the original fuel line so we can shorten them.

We also need to pick up the material so we can finish the trailer.
