My donor search continues...

I figured I would start a thread outlining my donor search, updating as I go. I had a $1500 bid in on this 06 SS supercharged model that sold today:

http://www.copart.com/us/Lot/39976395?searchId=1963853888#

Sale price was $1800+ fees assuming the seller accepted (it hadn't met reserve). I have time to hold out for a better donor, hopefully you guys can use this example as a compass for what to pay/expect

I have a bid in on 07 SS through go2auctionsNow (IAA stock number 15235967) It goes on the block tomorrow morning (Thursday)

It was a bit of a hassle to setup the account. My bid is a low ball at $1300 no key, flood damage, did not try to start. Are you interested in this one?

I will buy it if it is less than that but I will not if it goes over $1300. I think it would be a shame to let it go to someone else - non Goblin folk.

I don't think you can get setup quick enough on a broker for IAA as the vehicle is in Texas. If you want it (for more than $1300) call me. 512 944 2022.

Any significance to AleX1/9 - know what an X20 is? Wondering if it was a Fiat - I've had lots of those and a couple of X20 a.k.a. Scorpion's / Monte Carlo

Hey Dan,

I appreciate the offer, but the shipping costs would more than double the purchase price.

My username reflects the car that started me in the car hobby/business, the Fiat / Bertone X1/9. I've never bought an X1/20 before, but will it some point. The one that just sold on brings trailer was very tempting a couple weeks back!

I'm an active member of the XWeb forum, which grew out of the local seattle x1/9 club. We have a few members down in your part of the country with some really cool stuff
