Another vote for that tool, I used it on my head work while cleaning things up and carbon cleaning the valves... its sort of a PITA to screw in and out with how big and awkward it is around the head, but it definitely gets the job done.

I have a few types of valve spring compressors and the one DC pictured was the only one I had big enough to fit in. The other two were too big to get around the second valves next to each other.

Thanks guys that is exactly what I will get.
If you are not taking off the heads, I have do have this tool: https://www.freedomracing.com/j-43649-valve-spring-compressor-set.html

It allows you to compress the valve springs, remove the valve spring keepers and retainers and replace the valve springs and value seals... all without removing the head.

Here is a picture and link on how to use it:

The link is very detailed and shows how to put in new cams if needed.

Very nice I am not certain if I am going to remove the head but most likely I am going to tear down the bottom end first and inspect the bearings.

Now that the weather is getting cold I am planning to buy cams, injectors, and install #82 springs/retainers. At this time my clutch is not slipping but if I have to remove the head I am going to just pull the engine/trans and swap out the clutch for the future increased performance. I would prefer to do a in-place install on the cams/springs with a Kent Moore J-43649 if anyone would be willing to ship.

Thanks!
