Rear tie rods...anyone modify?

Just curious if anyone used different tie rods on the rear to gain more threads into the tie rods. With the stock tie rods, I only get about 1/2” of threads into the tie rod where if I went with longer tie rods (would have to shorten the tie rod and the rod coming out of the center link)...would end up with several more threads (yellow area of 2nd picture).

Anyone do this to gain more strength?

Ken, your donor tie rods go on the rear and your DFG supplied tie rods go on the front. This tidbit is sprinkled here and there in the threads, but I'm not sure if it is in the videos.

Didn’t take mine off the donor...anyone got a picture of the rear tie rods? I am presuming they bite more threads than the one I have (picture without the color paper)...
