450 miles with a gas shock under the pedal update.
Ended up with a 4.5 pound gas shock, the 18lb one was just way too much, made a housing that captured the shock from moving around under the pedal but allowed the pedal to close at a faster rate than the shock.
I've gotten more use to the throttle in 1st and 2nd gear, can typically drive without the harsh jerking still get it every once in a while and I just shift to the next gear to get out of it. The shock does make blipping the throttle for rev matching on down shifts harder.
I plan on removing the shock next time I go for a Sunday drive to see how much of a difference it really makes.
