The winter plans/whishes are:
- 3 bar map sensors and stage one tune
- swap my exhaust with a version made by someone who can weld better than I can. This one may wait, it's not leaking just ugly
- get yelled at for having a stack of tires in my house.
Yay, I had a good idea! (If it works out...if not that's on you for trusting a stranger on the internet) If you have the material to drill bigger I really prefer the eZ lok kits over the helicoils. Good luck and drill straight!
Something like this may be an option? It's an m6 thread repair but the insert is an m10. Ive used these in the past with success on other things I stripped

Out of caution I'd run a compression check and take a look at the cylinder/valves with a boroscope if you have one available. Ceramic is pretty hard and there are things that could have been damaged from it coming off the plug and traveling through the engine.
I'm running mine with no turbo heat shield. No problems yet. You have an engine cover and I don't though, not sure if you'd get more of a heat build up under the cover or if the cover ends far enough away from it that it doesn't matter.
