    microsoftisevil’s Extended Track - ‘10 SS - #150

Well, I’m still alive. Life happened, work happened. No more pending house projects, welding projects, or woodworking projects; 100% Goblin now. Honestly been so long since I’ve started gathering parts that I’ve had to go back through the pile. Found a Coyles timing chain kit I forgot I...

Ken, I’m liking your idea to use the braided AN. Pardon my ignorance, but did you put the ends on yourself or have them made? Also, is it possible to go from the AN end to regular rubber hose, or are you running all AN?

To be honest, I haven’t even touched the car for quite some time... as I type this on an airplane. Doing a large deployment for my day job and been traveling all over. Just one more site to visit, and I can put away the luggage for a while. This is the first time I’ve been on the forum since my...

Yea, I got into building those clocks from solid wood blocks hollowed out. Don’t guess I’ve seen a nixie watch. Would be neat! That cart the dry saw and grinder are sitting on is the real game changer that I finally finished. Got sick of lugging that 130lb saw around and the mess so made the...

Just realized I never posted a pic of the chassis. Hated to copy the others here with Illusion Shocker, but it’s a cool color. I wanted orange or red, but living in OK, I knew either color would spur more conversations about football than I cared to hear (not a sports guy).

So, I haven’t worked on the goblin since getting it back from the powdercoater. I have been traveling a lot for work, and in my free time trying to knock out old projects/honeydo list. Original plan was to build the goblin at my buddy’s shop. New plan is to get it rolling and engine in, then...

Awesome sauce. I will probably bite the bullet and just have them make a pair for me. I’m too lazy to clean up my original TC axles. Plus they have 100k on them and the eventual plan is to drop in a racing block from ZZP. Not sure I’ll get to 585whp... but I’d be fine with 450 lol

Looking good Ken! Any word yet on if your stock driver side axle will be too long? I have been trying to button up a few other projects, so I haven’t got anything done on my build except order all the random stuff I am upgrading or replacing. Work has me traveling a lot, so it may be winter...

    Suspension question/clarification

I can confirm that the 08+ TC has a larger ball joint shank. The shank is 20.5mm instead of like 19.5ish. If you use LCAs off a non-SS TC or even off a SC, you'll end up with the smaller ball joint. That is a hotdog down a hallway scenario as far as how the shank fits in the knuckle. The...

Not to make this a classifieds post... but I have an F35 I'm not using (F40 guy here). My donor shipped with the magical G85 code according to vin decoder. It was a totaled car (rear-ended), but it still drove fine. I put about 75 miles on it, and it seemed to shift great. The donor had 101k...
