Just got back from our first legal ride.
First impressions
-Rides great, really smooth. I thought it would be a much harsher ride.
-Bumps with your foot on the throttle can get a little wild
-The group buy shifter is great once you figure out where 5th gear is
-Had to aim my headlights a little lower since I was getting flashed by everyone
-The heat off the radiator is really nice when the sun goes down, but I can see how it would suck in the summer
Try resting the outside of your foot against the tunnel and move the throttle with the inside edge of your foot by rolling your whole foot inward and outward. That should give you some more control of the throttle and less bounce induced on/off action than having your foot flat on the face of the throttle pedal. Technique you learn when offroading in low gear, first gear on the rocks.
do you know what you have them set at? I have my fronts at 3 click from softest and rears at 5 from softest. Also probably have to lower my tire pressure quite a bit too.
I have my tires at about 18-20lbs I do believe. The settings are about where yours is at. The back if I remember right I have set a little harder. Having your foot against the tunnel as DS suggested helps hold your foot steady also.
I never posted these pictures, but for my shifter I ditched the cable bracket from df and used the stock bracket with some scrap I had laying around the shop that way I could get the cables routed a little closer inline with both shift arms. I think @Ross did something similar.
