Any Different Steps to Transfer Registration vs. Register New? (Indiana)

I'm sure it's state specific, but any experience with registering a goblin (or any kit car) that had been previously titled/registered? I'm familiar with the general requirements for any car purchased out of state, VIN inspection, etc., but curious if there are any additional hoops to jump through relating to a kit car? Obviously don't need to have a VIN assigned or any of those related steps, what else will I run into? Anything I can complete ahead of time before visiting the BMV? It seems like a requirement that they turn you away at least a couple of times for not having the correct documents.......

I would suggest just going in like it’s a normal production car since you have a VIN. In this case the less information you give them probably the better
