Corbeau Harnesses

Does anyone have photos of how the shoulder straps (Corbeau 5 point harness) are connected to the chassis? They appear to share a mounting point with the coolant tank bracket on the drivers side and the right shoulder strap (of drivers side harness) interferes with the coolant tank bracket.

@Goblinfanclub1234 I saw that in another thread and started to do it, but then wondered if that was indeed the intended method, considering the fact that there are mounting holes on the passenger side for the same purpose (with no interference from coolant tank bracket)

@Gtstorey Nope - Corbeau seats that are offered through DF

Both could be installed in the single bolt on the left, if there is no way the right bolt hole will work. Am I also seeing the right side belt strap is running under the reservoir mount? Something doesn't look right.

Can you not wrap the harness around the bar? It’s considered the safest way to do it anyway. I never thought about that bracket being there to attach the harness to. But then again I added another bar that was at a better height for me.

Something is definitely not right and I'm wondering if maybe I'm doing something wrong with the coolant tank bracket?

There is this picture in another thread:

Is this the correct way to mount this bracket?

In a Goonzquad video, they install the tank differently - it appears they have an older style mount for the tank, but it leaves both holes open for the belt mounts:

I'm pretty sure if you are going with 4/5 point harnesses in our cars you have to do the wrap method for the shoulder harnesses like the video shows. There isn't a place to bolt in the shoulder harnesses. I originally attached mine to that bar the reservoir attaches to where there are cut outs in the firewall with that method then wasn't thrilled with how low the attachment point was and how the belts would react in an accident so I made a harnesses bar to bring them more up to level of my shoulder. If you are attaching them to the bar here's my pic for reference but move it about 10" lower to the frame rail.

Maybe wrapping it is the way to go. My question then becomes, why is there another mounting point on the passenger side? Perhaps an alternate location for a coolant tank?

I have my coolant bracket different than the pic you have. My bracket is toward the rear with the spacer between the bracket and the frame.

Not sure on the pass side mounting point. I planned on using it in the future for an I/C reservoir. Mine sits open and unused currently on a SS/TC.
