Donor Dibs List

Awesome, That sounds good then! I have done a bunch of reading on the LE5 and it looks like the 06-07 had stronger forged rods, And the 08 and up LE5/LE9 has the powder forged. So I guess down the line I will need to consider replacing those before SC/TC.

But overall there should be no issues throwing this bad boy into a Goblin?

Thank you everyone!

Still looking, I bid up to the 1400 but it kept going I did not put a large deposit in so I could not bid any more... Lesson learned. Would really love a 2.4 / 5 speed will keep looking.

That'd be great!

If anyone see's a decent 08-10 turbo SS let me know. I'm going to scrap my plans to upgrade and LT model. I'll just fork out the money ahead of time and it'll make for a faster and easier swap.

I was bidding on this one earlier today: http://www.copart.com/us/Lot/25778976?searchId=2088502529
I would like to get this one but I'd be tempted to just resell it since it's already got a rebuilt title. But the price is a bit too high I think.

Oh yea, you should be able to steal that one. I'm holding out for a turbo model... they are still gold plated though :(

Looks like when they finally put this one on the auction list my broker will be bidding on this donor for me. Hopefully I end up with it without it costing to much before frieght gets added on to get it to Tennessee from Indianapolis.

Listing says hit front, but the damage doesnt look bad from zooming in on the pics. Plus it runs and drives, so hopefully nothing major to find later...

If everything goes as planned Tuesday I will be picking up a donor car. So if they ever do assign that car an auction date feel free to go for it. The donor I am buying isn't the turbo car that I had wanted, but a supercharger with a great tune should still get my adrenaline flowing. The title is being taken to the owner this weekend to be sighed. Owner recently joined the Navy and told his dad to sell the car. Dad asked him how much did he want for it, the son told him it didn't matter $1200.00 would be good he had the clear title. Then a week later the son told his dad to keep the money from the sale of the car because its been in his garage for months taking up his parking space. When I got back from driving the car dad said he "needed it sold and out of his way" if I wanted it he could have the title signed this weekend when he visits his son. I told him yes I was interested in it, then Dad said will you go ahead an buy it for $600.00.

So Tuesday dad will be back with the signed title and I will be taking a car dolly along with $600 to pick it up. Its a 2009 with 88k on it only problem with it is 2nd gear is almost gone. When you shift to second it stays in gear sometimes and other times it jumps out of gear. I think its a pretty good buy and only a hour from my house.

Adam put me in contact with a broker that is who I had watching for the car to finally get assigned an auction date. I
was and still am cramming numbers on donor cars. Spend a lot more money for the perfect donor or settle for what I can get cheap then upgrade the cheap donor for performance numbers close to the stock numbers for the more expensive donor. I have been bouncing numbers around again tonight. Im buying the 09 tuesday no matter if it really does end up being the donor I use or not. I have already been offered a profit on it without having to do anything to it. Bouncing the numbers around on buying from copart or iaai paying the bid cost, fees, broker fees then the shipping cost to me vs buying a used SS car locally with similar milage, maybe a little higher priced but not wrecked or damaged.

Im bouncing numbers probably to much but Im a 100% service connected Disabled Army combat veteran. I have a fixed income and I have a certain amount saved up already. Depending on what the total cost of my donor car is will also decide if I order just kit one first or 1&2 at the same time...
