I wouldn't install a tune from any file, even if it was the same year.
I would compare the file to my own tune, and move over the specific tables and values that I want, and then install that tune in my engine.
Are you using HP Tuners? There are stock tunes for all of the years in the repository. And there are a lot of warnings on HP Tuners' site to do it the way that Ross suggests or you might brick you ecu anyway.
Okay thank you guys. I just ordered HP Tuners and I found a member of the forum that I would like to try their tune. 1st and 2nd are jumpy on partial throttle to the point that they are unusable.
You might want to check to see if you have boost reduction in first and second also, My tuner limited them to 13lb and it really smoothed out and no tire spin. Then 3rd and up gets the full 23lb of boost.
