They have 3 lines... the RS-R, RS-RR, and RS-Pro. IME, the R was the slowest but lasted the longest, the Pro was the fastest and wore the fastest, and the RR was somewhere in the middle. The RS-Pro was my favorite if you are locked into Federal; it was grippy but would overheat after a few laps and the sidewall seemed too soft. I'd choose another set of V730's before buying another set of RS-Pro's. I wouldn't recommend the R or the RR, they were decent 5 years ago, but aren't really relevant any more.
I can't comment on street miles, but the V730 doesn't have any rapid wear issues on track. It wore pretty similarly (maybe even slightly better?) to any of the other super 200's.. ie: RE71R, RT660, RS-Pro, ZIII, etc. 2-3k miles still sounds a bit short though, so you may have some alignment or tire pressure issues.
You might want to consider an endurance 200 tire. The RS4 is the gold standard and I've had great luck with them... they have decent grip and wear like iron. I've heard the ExtremeContact Force is similar to the RS4, except they have a hair more grip and are better in the rain... but I haven't used them yet.
