Front cowling mounts.

I try to stay a step or two ahead of what I’m currently working on. I need to decide on a mounting solution for the side panels (I don’t do rivets).

I also want to figure out a better way to mount the front cowling. I am using the quick release ball-end fasteners at the top end, but I feel like it needs more lateral (side) stability; even if its a simple single-point mount.

I was debating on running aluminum L-bracket channel, epoxied in and connected with spring steel mounts; similar to dirt track cars.

Has anyone delved into this?

I used M4 well nuts, nylon washers, and button head screws to attach my side panels. No help on the other bodywork though, because I don't have anything else yet.
