Looking for a decent alloy or steel material for the front grille; will also be using it on the side in front of my heat exchanger. Prefering a rigid, sheet style (instead of roll) and preferably alloy or stainless. Does anybody have any ideas?
I use https://www.mcnichols.com/ for perf, expanded, mesh etc at work. Lots of options for material and thickness, probably going to be expensive though.
16"x48" Perf Hexagon - Aluminum Sheet. These sheets are from customcargrills and are ready to be cut to fit and installed right out of the box. This is a universal kit, and will not be precut, nor have installation instructions for your specific vehicle.
To the inside of the fiberglass radius on the hood opening is 14 wide by 11.5 high at the widest points. You would have to add an inch or so to each side to accommodate a way to mount the grill. So a 16 X 48 sheet would be plenty big.
Front Grill Mesh from Amazon
I epoxied some washers into the rounded areas every 4 inches or so and used zip ties to hold it in. Its ABS plastic, but it works.
