Gonna be close in color scheme to mine. Your frame is a little brighter and wheels are probably darker.
Ya looks like they’ll be close haha. My wheels are more of a dark bronze than a gold. I’m also doing triangular cutouts for the side panels instead of a single piece

Got the first wheel on. Passenger side caliper was missing the brake hardware (metal clips for the pads). Will get that wheel on shortly. I’ll run the front brake lines as well to the calipers. My toe is really off, but that will get fixed when I do my initial alignment. Finally starting to see a car out of this pile of parts

Got her on her front feet at last. Will try to get those AN fittings on tomorrow so I can get the radiator on. Bought some silicon grease to try and lubricate the fittings into the hose.

Radiator is plumbed. Button panel installed. Fuel tank installed. Fuel pump deregulated and installed. Engine harness is back on the engine. Removed the turbo tubes off the engine because I’m pretty sure they won’t fit under/around the chassis as is.

Hoping for a first start attempt tomorrow so wish me luck!

Are the fuel lines supposed to stick out of the frame like that? I don't remember seeing them mounted like this before...
Those are the fuel lines from the donor car. In the original video build series, they were rotated and bent gently to make the connections to the fuel filter. Some folks elected to replace the lines pictured with high pressure rubber or AN lines.

Glad to see your nephew helping out. I'm hoping to have my chassis before my kids come to visit this summer. I think they would love to help me out.

Also I'm really liking that powder color

Great that he is interested in helping build his uncle's Goblin. Bet he can't wait to go for a ride! :D
Goal was to have it driving before they leave Sunday, but I cross threaded one of the 16AN fittings for the lower hoses so I won’t be able to get it driving, but might be able to do a first start for a few seconds at least.

Thank you! Really glad I went with it. Came out great. Called Illusion Cherry.

Your kids would enjoy helping out. My daughter is 2.5yo and she loves to watch me build and hand me tools. She knows it as “dada’s race car” :D

Agreed. I was torn between red and blue, but wasn’t sure how the bronze wheels would work with the blue chassis
Not a Subaru fan? Bronze wheels on blue cars is a default color combo for Subie fans...

I like the red for that reason, blue/bronze is not uncommon.

Not a subie fan, no :D I know that’s their default, but wasn’t sure for the goblin. Just because a challenger can pull off hot pink, doesn’t mean a Corolla can if you know what I mean haha. But yes, blue with bronze wheels is quite common with subies.

We got the rear end fully assembled tonight minus the brake lines and ebrake. She’s sitting on all 4s finally.

One issue we ran into when mounting the engine was the outlet tube on the cold side of the turbo. It was hitting the top cross bar so the engine wouldn’t sit flush on the mounts. So my fix was remove it until we got to that point to mount the intake stuff. My partial fix was to cut down that tubing (it was held on with a vband so removed it before cutting). After that, I could mount it back on under that bar. Next problem now is the silicon angle is able to go under it, but it would also put a big dent on the charge line of the intake and I’m sure that would mess up performance with that intrusion. So I will see about clocking the cold side with that vband clamp in the above pictures.

This to complete tomorrow:
-install last 2 AN fittings for the radiator lines and connect them to the engine.
-install the fuse box
-install the rear brake lights
-install the license plate mount
-install the external oil cooler and lines
-finish plumbing the intake heat exchangers/dual pass
-plumb the BRFPS
-add oil and coolant to the engine and loops
-FIRST START!!!!!!!!

If time permits:
-install the manual master cylinder
-install the SS brake lines
-install the parking brakes
-install the steering column
-install the rear transmission mount
-get a bolt for the front transmission mount (don’t know which goes there from my old donor bolts I kept)
-install the tunnel cap
-install the stock shifter (the cool one will be installed at a later date, it’s still in the box from the group buy)
-install the heat exchanger cooling fans and wire them
-install the seats
-install the fire wall (got rivnuts for this and the tunnel cap)
-install the footwell cover
-install the hood
-cut the side panel shapes
-wrap the hood and side panel pieces
-do an alignment

I’m sure I’m missing some more of the to-dos
