Taking a plunge into machining

With my Goblin being 95% where I want it. I am moving on to other bucket list hobbies that I want to take on.
I blame the Goblin for kinda ruining car projects for me. They all seem pretty tame now. I am by no means getting rid of the Gob, but rather want to integrate the lathe into projects.
I picked up this Standard Modern 1334 lathe that was bought from military surplus. I Don't know much about machining and finding out how little I actually know.

I am basically fresh at this so am learning but if anyone has any simple ish parts they want made let me know. I'm looking to work the hell out of this thing. Also, for all the people here who make a living with these things, I'll take any advice you have.

Nice! Looks to be in good shape from the photo - placards look almost new. New toys are great! :D Just be cautious of fingers, etc. - best not to wear gloves or any loose clothing when turning - things get wrapped in a hurry if your not careful.
