Tranny Question

I have a stupid transmission question... Will a 2008 HHR SS 2.0L LSD G85 5-speed manual transmission fit in a 2007 SS/SC? I see a lot of talk on the Cobalt forums, but I can't tell if someone actually did it. I know there is are some interchangeable parts between the Cobalt and the HHR.

I would guess that they would fit, GM started selling upgraded CV shafts and clutches for the SS S/C versions which were used on stock SS T/C versions. The 5sp HHR SS has identical power train to the Cobalt T/C and the Cobalt S/C is an identical car. If you found one at a good deal i would say go for it. Apparently the G85 option is not as common as you'd think.
