Transmission fluid

Does anyone have a clear answer as to which type of transmission fluid is needed for the f35 with LSD out of an 07 ss cobalt ? I found a tread stating it was gear oil equivelent to a 75-90 weight but when i got a brand new trans and went to fill it up thin red fluid came out that looked to be Red ATF.

My 04 z06 uses ATF but the trans and Diff are seperate my old 05 MR2 used gear oil and it was a transaxle.

I found one source that pointed towards this fluid : https://www.amsoil.com/p/manual-synchromesh-transmission-fluid-5w-30-mtf/?code=MTFQT-EA&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItYfn8-fx6AIVgbbICh19ywDKEAQYASABEgI5xPD_BwE

This is one of the more recent threads I can find about it suggesting Red-Line 75W-90 NS GL-5 with no friction modifiers : https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/drivetrain-79/finally-organized-f35-transmission-fluid-thread-230048/

Thanks ! That helps a bunch looks like this is the current replacement for that part number. http://www.crateenginedepot.com/mobile/Manual-Transmission-Fluid-SAE-75W-85-GL4-19351859-P11005.aspx?ItemId=798051

I still don’t understand why the new trans came with that thin red fluid in it.
maybe just the factory protective stuff they put in it so it does not rust sitting on the shelf for months / years until it is unopened and installed?
Sitting and patiently waiting and hoping it will be in a Goblin!!!......
