Wheels, Tires and Seats List

One other thing for anyone who happens to read this... I have never used my seat sliders. Both seats have sat in the rearmost position since install. Thinking about taking them out.

Once I hit the build process, I'm definitely using seat sliders. I'm only 5'7" and my wife and daughters are 5'4", so they'll need the sliders to drive the car. Plan on teaching my girls how to drive a stick in the goblin.

I have frame #61. I have not chosen which wheels to use yet, though it says Enkei by my name. I do plan on the Corbeau FX1 Pro seats so far.

How about a paint color & type list for frame and panels? It could be useful to see who has done their frame in something other than powdercoat (I’m actually considering Linex), or whether they did wrap or paint on the fiberglass. Could be a good reference point for future builders.

Thanks Jeff! Minor change for me: only the front wheels are 4x100, the rears are 5x114.3. BTW the engine is a lightly modded crate LHU.

Don't know if this is still being updated but I have a few more final specs if you all want them.

Donor Engine: 2009 SS/TC Turbocharged with forged internals, bigger turbo, cams, meth injection.

Wheels: Konig Oversteer
Front: 16x7.5 (Part No. OS67514405) 5x114.3 40mm offset 17.6 LBS
Rear: 18x9 (OS89514225) 5x114.3 22.35 LBS

Tires: Toyo R888R
Front: 225/45 r16
Rear: 265/35 r18

Weight:
Front: 17.6 + 23 = 40.6LBS a wheel
Rear: 22.35 + 27 = 49.35 LBS PER WHEEL :)confused: Does that seem a little bit heavy to any of you???)

Those are nice looking wheels.
I kept finding that those larger diameter wheels started getting heavy.

I was planning on going 15in all the way around to keep the wheel weight down to the 11-12lb. range.
I know I'll be giving up some on the top end with higher freeway cruise RPM with the smaller diameter and a slightly smaller contact patch. But dropping the weight of that rotating mass was a concern for me. Benefits are likened to adding HP, suspension upgrade and gearing change in one component. There's always trade offs.

With the HP and torque you'll be making, that wheel weight shouldn't be a concern for you at all anyway.

Can't wait to see them on the car!

The weight for the tires are what confuse me. Is it really 20+ pounds per wheel? Or is it 20+ lbs all around? Just 27 pounds a tire seems way too heavy for me.

I think that's right at 27lbs for each 18in tire. Which isn't bad being that the 16in tire is weighing 23lbs.

The r888r 15in 225 weighs in at 22lbs.
So I guess not too bad.

List is updated with your dperkins info. Besides some of the stock wheels, you'll have the largest wheels on the list. Obviously, you're using coilovers in the rear, but I'm still wondering if you'll have any clearance issues. Hopefully not. Can't wait to see it!

I am really hoping I do have none. If I have some horizontally, I'll try spacers. If I have some vertically, I'll do some surgery.

Guys, I've been looking online for a nice second hand set I'd wheels. Ive came across a couple square 18 sets. What are the downsides to an 18 wheel in front? Is it just the weight alone?

Some of the stock 18 Subaru STI wheels would good on the goblin.
