    V1 Electrical start issue

I have a Bluetooth OBD reader. It will not connect to my phone. It worked last week briefly (only when headlights were on, likely a back feed). Now that I fixed the battery connection It is no longer connecting. I think you are suggesting I test for continuity of all the connections on the...

    V1 Electrical start issue

Apologies. I am struggling to understand wiring diagram myself. For example I am seeing pin 18 as 5-volt reference so assuming I need 5V. But I can’t find circuit 5359 on wiring diagram. Maybe you can point me in the right direction of how to search the wiring diagram.

    V1 Electrical start issue

I didn’t back probe. Measured 5V with plugs disconnected. But was getting 12V in same manner. Do 5V need to be back probed with connector plugged in?

    V1 Electrical start issue

Update: I’m getting 12 V in all BCM connectors and good ground at all BCM/ECM connectors. I’m getting 12V at OBD. Grounds are good at all ECM/BCM connectors Fuses all good I am NOT getting any voltage at 5 volt reference pins: BCMX2-18 ECMx1 66 or 67 ECMx2 13, 33-35, 53-55 (I don’t think BCM x1...

Thank you but the fuse block, wiring, BCM, ECM are all from the same non-SS ignition, pedals, instrument cluster from SS but best I can tell interchangeable

    V1 Electrical start issue

Thank you for the support! You summarized my journey well. I scheduled a mechanic for this weekend …then postponed when I started to make progress. It’s not the money so much as the pride!

    V1 Electrical start issue

Making progress but still no crank. probed plugs at BCM and confirmed all ground intact. Identified missing power from battery and was able to trace to bad splice of power connector/cable to BCM. So there was power back feeding somehow. Put everything back together: turn signals and flashers...

    V1 Electrical start issue

As I continue to try and learn how to read a wiring diagram I kept connecting things I knew… don’t know why but when I connected headlights and only when they are on, OBD2 now gets power and I was able to connect. Passkey light also comes on and stays on now. I have tried twice to due the...

    V1 Electrical start issue

Good thought. No. Different fuse box. I am checking voltage in the BCM box. 12V on the right side. Only 0.6V on fuse 25 ECM/TCM. I’m going to try and look if this is normal unless anyone easily knows answer

    V1 Electrical start issue

Notes: I am getting power at fuel pump relay as I can jump the switch (putting wires across like I did to drain tank) and hear pump working. Relay is good. No power at fuel pump fuse. Fuse is good.

    V1 Electrical start issue

yes. I have checked every fuse twice (and the important ones more). I will get some probing ends and start from there. I appreciate pointing me in any direction.

    V1 Electrical start issue

Aside from unplugging and replugging all connections…would you advise checking continuity of each connection? I suppose this is checking the electrical map and checking for appropriate resistance or continuity?
