V1 Ross's extended city, easy entry Goblin- 06 SS/SC, NW Arkansas

LUV (Lumberjack Utility Vehicle)? In 2 or 3 years I will have some dry oak wood. Managed to cut 7 logs for me, and 7 for my neighbour. About 8 boards per log, depending on how thick of boards we are cutting.

    HP Tuners

Congrats on getting your Goblin. I use to be able to turn off the engine light... After the EPA update, my engine light stays on. I think the issue was no SRS system. Effectively, now I don't know if a new OBDii code pops up, so thanks EPA for making my idiot light useless. Use the tape...

    V2 Blizzard25 Goblin V2 (#19) - 2015 Golf GTI 2.0T DSG

Wow, you do amazing work with all those high end prototyping machines. Are you redesigning the waterpump to get away from the short lived plastic parts?

    Track overheating

My red neck method is easier for the engine. Vacuum tool probably best for the intercooler.. The water pump on the engine can generate enough flow to push air thru the system. When your engine is warm, rev it up to 4000rpm for 4 seconds, top up coolant. Rev to 5000 for 4 seconds, top up...

    V1 LaunchPad's technology demonstrator -08 SS/TC donor- #109 registered

I would bet 5th gear is just the shifter being out of adjustment. Find the left/right shifter cable, and adjust. As for the clutch pedal, I furred out the driver's side panel 2 inches, and made room for my foot rest. Later, I replaced the prototype foam with a wood blocks on the frame rails.

    Track overheating

Use your hand to feel the rubber radiator hoses. The passenger side, lower frame rail should be getting hot, also check the the driver's side lower frame rail is cooler. You can also check the water lines on your intercooler heat exchanger, and make sure that radiator is working, and water is...

    V1 LaunchPad's technology demonstrator -08 SS/TC donor- #109 registered

The EPA has been hassling the shops that tune ECUs. So HP Tuners got scared, and removed all their race engine tunes from their library, and they updated their software so that it couldn't remove some of the instrument panel lights. I don't know if ZZP can remove those lights because they use...

    V1 Josh's City Goblin - 10 XFE Donor

I hope you don't have metal transfer going on in the differential.

    Houston SCCA Autocross

You were so smooth... did you even use full throttle? Was the surface still wet and slippery, so you had to be extra easy on the throttle?

    V1 Riley's Full Cage Goblin -07 SS/TC F23 #457

Another way to track down vacuum leaks is to fill the intake with smoke, and check if any smoke gets out. I did this to my engine, but I should have taken out the MAF sensor, and that would have saved me from cleaning it.

Just bought a 2020 Goblin... Excited to see it become mine

15"x19" race rims? Do you mean 15"x9" wheels? Or are these some crazy 19" wide wheels with custom tires?

    V1 Steering knuckles replacement?

Castor about 8 degrees, camber to about -1 degrees.... depending on the tire, I run -0.5 a degree.

    V1 Steering knuckles replacement?

The steering wheel shaft, U joints, and steering rack are all from the Cobalt.

    Yes, it looks backwards.

That front splitter looks great. Did you fold up some 16 gauge steel?

    V1 Alternator pulley/belt question

The LSJ has an OAP that runs counter clockwise too. You would need pulley that goes the other way. The stock OAP pulley is half the cost of an alternator... $80 when I bought one years ago.

V1 [GUIDE] F35 to F23 (with LSD) Transmission Swap

I have too. Might be considered axle abuse, as opposed to use. Accelerating up a hill, catching air over the railroad tracks, wasn't a good idea. Full droop on the suspension puts the axels at maximum angle, throttle winds up the wheel, and the sudden stop after the air can pop an axle out.

V1 purchased an AT can I add evap system?

We had one, called DF Kit Car Community. I tried to go there, but it looks like it is shut down now. I only stopped by once in a while, it was mostly for people to know we existed... not enough people on it for fast response times. Things sat unanswered for months. Either Montana, or restore...

    V1 Alternator pulley/belt question

jirwin, you made me look it up. Overrunning Alternator Decoupler (OAD) and Overrunning Alternator Pulley (OAP) are specialized pulley systems designed to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) in a vehicle's belt drive system.

    (LSD) - Limited-Slip Differential

The Quaife differential helps prevent the rear from swinging out when accelerating. Puts the power down, and accelerates out. It also transfers more weight to the rear, as it can accelerate quicker. Under hard throttle, with sticky tires, the car goes straight ahead, and it ignores steering...
