    NRG Quick Release

Wheel is mounted! And added a new support bearing.

    NRG Quick Release

Yeah I just HATE that. It pushes the wheel into your chest. I want the wheel closer to the "dash.

    NRG Quick Release

Stage 1 complete. This is the weird splines to 6x70mm standard hole adapter flange I made. It puts the wheel closer to the dash(where I think it belongs) & eliminates the need for a quick attach adapter or any other assortment of adapters. All you need with this is a NRG race hub. Stage 2 is...

    NRG Quick Release

Ive got the seats in and have a lot of seat time in the car. My biggest complaint has been the wheel so close & the turn signal switch being too close.

    NRG Quick Release

I wish I knew what other vehicle accepted these splines. But that information is like hunting for a unicorn. I'm going to cut the soda can thing off. Use those splines. Use my CMC plasma cutter to cut a standard 6x70mm flange with a transition fit over the OD of the soda can section I'm re...

    NRG Quick Release

I'm have to update this once I made my adapter. Maybe other people like me are also picky and don't like the wheel so close

    NRG Quick Release

Yeah. I am okay with losing the turn signal lever. I already hit it with my hands and don't like it as is. I mocked it up today and closer to the dash is better for me with my fixed seats and short legs. I really really hate how close it is to my chest right now and making it even closer...

    NRG Quick Release

Aghhhhhhhh shiiiiiiiittttt, okay. The 3 bolt flange is pressed onto the cobalt splines. That won't do. I guess I'll be making my own adapter. I want the wheel closer to the dash and further away from my chest. That soda can thing sucks

    NRG Quick Release

My aluminum soda can thing has a threaded nut on it and no splines

    NRG Quick Release

I HATE this option more than the ugly DF wheel. It would put the wheel like in my chest. The stock wheel is already far back. Now you're adding an adapter to an adapter to a quick release to a wheel that's more than likely more dished. That would be the worst.

    NRG Quick Release

The cobalt NRG is a 36 splines. The shaft coming out of my steering rack is 23. Its also a different diameter even. Like it can't be further off.

    NRG Quick Release

It's very finicky and requires special wire. I've never done it. I don't know anyone else who does it. You typically don't mix and match material between mild, stainless, or aluminum. I'll machine my own out of mild before I do something like that.

    It's just so ugly, I can't haha

    NRG Quick Release

I am so confused with what's going on here. I read people say to order the Cobalt HUB adapter which is the SRK-177H. https://getnrg.com/products/srk-177h So I did. It is so far from fitting it doesn't even make sense. The cobalt shaft is a GM 36 spline. The DF Goblin has a 23 spline. How are...

    Tennessee Legislation

Just thought I'd add a reply. I bought a Goblin from the 2nd hand market. The car was in MN. I registered it in TN (Cleveland TN DMV). They tried to give me a "county road only registration" but after some back/forth of me telling her it's road legal just like her honda civic she pushed it...
