I have put about 4,000 miles on my Goblin since it became the first one registered in KS in 2018. I bought frame #20 from Paul along with the ‘07 SS/SC donor parts as well as an additional ‘07 SS/SC engine/transmission/misc that came from an early Ariel Atom. The supercharged LSJ sits in a standard length, track frame with easy entry. Engine/Trans @ 163k miles. New clutch and low mileage SC installed at time of build.
The Goblin has been “almost” done since it became street legal. I found myself driving instead of working on the car, so I have a lot of parts that I intended to add, just never got around to it. I have probably known for the last few years that my time with the Goblin was coming to an end, but every time I considered selling, I would take it out for a drive and come home with such a huge smile I couldn’t follow through. Life happens fast…my kids are growing and I am about to start a new professional chapter, so I’d like to see the Goblin go to a good home.
I am willing to make this a great deal for a potential buyer and hope I don’t tank the used Goblin market. Paul gave me a good deal when I bought his project, so I don’t mind paying it forward. Well over $20k in parts, some of which are new and waiting to be installed. At this time, I am not interested in selling or listing all of the parts individually, I want to sell everything together. There is an opportunity for the buyer to recoup a significant portion of the cost.
I am not a professional mechanic, but got great support from this forum, DF and Brad here in KC when I was working to get the Goblin running right and aligned 7 years ago. I have done oil changes and changed a battery in the 7 years I’ve been driving it around. It has been problem-free and never left me stranded or had any major issues since I started driving. There are rock chips and other cosmetic imperfections consistent with it being enjoyed.
There are a few things that would be on my short list to address if I was keeping it however:

- There has been a very slow leak from the line between the master cylinder and the reservoir.

- I was in the process of changing the SC HE to a bottom mount, but it has been “temporarily” mounted for 4,000 miles….I bought DF's kit and have started the modification with the NACA ducts installed.
- Install some of the new parts that I have: button panel, wind screen, rear engine cover, side body panels
- Attempt to fit LSJ header and muffler from Ariel Atom - I love the look
- Replace the seat belts, they are cheap and the latch system occasionally acts up
