V1 Steering Wiring Connector

During the wiring video 8 I came across this. Any ideas where this wire for the plug in the steering unit is supposed to go?

Hard to tell for sure from the picture but looks like the power supply for the EPS motor. If so it goes to X7 on the fuse box. If that’s it the red wire should have a black stripe if any of the wire is original. Of course the fuse isn’t original.

At least for the Turbo.

Looks like they ran a new hot wire... from the battery. The EPS uses a lot of power, 50A fuse if I remember correctly.

So is it ok to run this back to the battery and just ground the 2 side?

Yes. I thought that the 50Amp stand alone fuse on the side of the battery box was the wire that feeds the power steering.

The location I showed is the stock location on the LNF and I think that is the wire that had to be extended using copper crimp sleeves. I did have a typo in my first reply and should have X6 instead of X7. Again this is the later model and maybe the earlier are different.
