What is your “I don’t want to sell it” price?

Smokin' Goblin

This was brought up in another thread, so I thought I would start a thread on its own. This should be fun.

You don’t have to sell, you don’t need to sell and you don’t even want to sell, but someone walks up and opens a briefcase full of cash for your Goblin. How much is in that briefcase that would make you say “sold!!”.

Then follow up question:
Would you build another Goblin?

Keep it realistic. ;) Somewhat :D

I think realistically my “I don’t want to sell” price would be around $40k and I would build another. I could use the extra cash to really upgrade some things and on the second build I could do some frame mods to be more unique.

edit:
I have somewhere in the mid $20s in mine, excluding beer and whiskey.

I think you should add what you currently have in your build for prospective.

I’m $35k into my build and my “Don’t wanna sell buuuutttt” would be $50k. I doubt I’d build another Goblin unless it was DF’s next rendition (different donor, new design kinda thing). I’ve always wanted to build a FFR Cobra and with $50k I could build a decent one.

Ark :D
$30k would probably take mine. As I said in the other thread. And I'd definitely build a new model Goblin, but I don't think I'd build a second current-model Goblin. It's not out of dislike for the current one, no way, it's just I know how much work and effort that was and I wouldn't want to do it again unless it was for something new.

I'd probably go for a FFR Cobra or GTM for my next build, if there was no sequel to the Goblin.

Oh, and I have about $20k into #187.

I think $23k ish would do it for me. Have less than $18k in it. Probably build another starting with full cage and an LSJ donor. And I'd do heated seats!

Hmmmmm.
Good thread Russell.
Would be interesting if a lurker with a pocket full of cash stepped up for the right build that he loved! :0

I would take $40k. Maybe…..

I really enjoyed the build process. It’s just time and money that dictates building for us, right?!
I know many get so caught up in the building that they do not enjoy the “using” part as much.
If DF did as good a video series on the next version, it would be just as enjoyable to do again.

Our group here in Houston is so awesome, I would hate to be left out without a Goblin.

Lol, I recently had someone try to buy mine but when I told him I had almost 30K in it and his offer would need to be well in excess of that he was not quite so interested in trying to talk me out of it. Right offer and I would sell but it would probably take at least 35K with inflation to just replace what I have.
