Lonny,
Looks awesome!
Let me know what you think of the R1R's once you get this beast out and about. I am probably going to run 2 wheel/tire combos, one for street/wet and a set of slicks for the track. I was thinking about the R1Rs for the street set.
Yeah, the manifold is something I purchased off eBay. Not sure why the nipple would be in another spot, but it is.
I was starting to think either one or both of us was going crazy haha.
Ok I'll take his word for it as he's the expert and won't make any holes in the manifold. All I know is that my manifold does not have the nipple I've circled in red in the pictures below from the CED install link. My nipple is where the green circle indicates. That's the only reason I...
OK that's an interesting deviation from the ZZP kit instructions. I would be way more interested if I don't need to drill because then like Adam said, I just find a conveniently-shaped secondary reservoir.
Thanks for digging into that.
I have a dual pass end plate myself, but I don't think that precludes the need to drill a new bleeder line nipple hole into the manifold. (This is the green nipple from which the light blue hose goes to the red coolant reservoir in the diagram you posted.)
Yeah you're right, it's not overly complicated. I guess when I read about taking the cores out and drilling a new bleed nipple hole it just seemed like a hassle. Is that actually necessary?
i looked into this; not sure how much it's worth it. Some manifold drilling and a dual pass end plate are needed. At this point I'm trying to simplify and add lightness. Maybe down the road if I can tell that intake temps are an issue.
Does anyone have experience with Option B on a Cobalt?
