Power Steering module is built into the electric power steering motor assembly.

Have you run through the tests that Ross linked in post #4? Especially checking for 60ohms?

I'll try that next. I'm guessing I have the dreaded gmlan wire issues. Does someone have a gmlan for dummies diagram (preferably in crayon :) )showing how these green wires run around the vehicle for an lsj? I have the cobalt shop manuals but the electrical diagrams make my head hurt.

Crayon always makes tech seem more down to earth and accessible! ;)

The GM high speed LAN sends data from the engine PCM, thru the power steering, to the BCM. The BCM takes that data and sends it on the low speed LAN to the instrument cluster. If there is a break anywhere, then data won't flow. Power steering is just one possibility.
