If New York makes it too difficult, you can also legally register it in Montana, and drive it in New York.

I’m in New York. On Long Island. I am just starting my actual build. Should get frame back from powder next week. I am going to try and register it in NY. If that fails, like Ross said, I’ll go the Montana route.
