V1 Brake Reservoir Port

What is this port on the brake reservoir on the top used for, with the hose I have attached?

I had the same question and it's nothing. It looks like a port but it's not.

It’s nothing. I don’t believe it even goes though into the tank itself.

If it does go into the tank I would seal it to prevent moisture contamination.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I shall double check mine and make sure it is sealed. I just wanted to make sure the port didn't need to attach somewhere.

I cut that nipple off of mine. It stops at the tank, without entering the tank.
