Carrying luggage

I've been cruising through these forums for about a year trying to learn as much as I can before starting my build and its time to make the decision between city and track frame. I'm wondering if anyone has thought of attaching some sort of luggage rack behind the roll bar above the engine cover for road trips. Would it be feasible to do so for carrying a small suitcase or backpack for each driver and passenger? I'm trying to decide between extended and standard and city vs track as I've see the track with a rack mounted on top.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated here!!

I didn’t consider that however I was thinking something removable (clamp on tube maybe) with two small compartments just for a weekend worth of clothes and maybe a jacket for each. So maybe I could split and leave an opening between for rear view

Where and how do you get the parts to build it?
If you are talking about the rack it can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/HS-Power-Alu...dp/B01NA7GE69/ref=psdc_15735251_t2_B0753GWVDQ

Here are the House Tuning Tube Clamps, (please double check for proper size): https://www.amazon.com/House-Tuning...590529596&sprefix=house+tuning,aps,167&sr=8-1

You may have to get a few other bolts and rubber bushings as pictured in Wes' posts: http://dfkitcar.com/forum/index.php?threads/roof-rack.658/post-10225
