V1 Clutch Hard Line to Transmission

Does anyone have any tips to getting the clutch hard line to go into port on the top of the transmission. If I have the clip pre installed into the trans the fitting won’t go in. If I put the fitting into the port, the clip won’t go in.

Where is the o-ring? Is it on the port nipple or in the end of the fitting? The o-ring must be on nipple before attempting to install. It also requires a firm, but not forced, push to get it to seat correctly and allow the clip to catch. BTW, how do you have the clip installed? Send pic.

Are you putting the clip in correctly? Some builders have had issues with the clip.

I have the clip installed wrong. I’ll try the photo instead

That did it. 5 minutes the right way verses two hours of fighting the other way
