Hi all.

'07 SS/SC donor, doing my wire harness (took a break and coming back to it).

1) What is this connector?

2) What does this pink wire, from that same connector, go to?

That pink wire is cut/broken on the other end, and I've not had much lucking figuring out what that goes to and if it's something I need to fix, or remove. I'm thinking it goes to the red BCM multi-plug (I think that's what it is), but not sure which port. Can anyone help out?

The red connector is to the bcm.

Not 100% sure on the other one, but I believe The pink wire is probably the ps feed. Someone else will chime in. Watch the videos to confirm. Watch videos ahead of where you are, so you know what’s next and it will help explain a lot.

Thanks. I've watched a couple videos ahead and nothing about that pink wire. I'm pretty certain it wasn't something I'd cut/remove so I'm not sure how that wire got cut or broke.

The feed to the power steering pump comes straight off the fuse box, at least on the later models.

Ya. And it’s a bigger wire too, now that I think about it.

The pink is an accessory wire. Key on ignition. Kind of a spare wire, if you want to run an accessory

Pretty sure the unknown connector is the body-to-dash harness connector. I'm stuck in a hotel room in Greensboro, NC right now with only my phone, so I can't research ... please check my work before you chop it off.

Your 1st and 2nd photos are of the dash-to-body harness connector. Connect it back to the dash harness and see which pink wire it hooks to on the dash harness and then follow it to the other end. Post some images of where it terminates.

@KSLunsfo

My company is opening a new warehouse here and sent me down with a ton of network gear to get them set up. I'm here for a few days. Was a beautiful drive (past Roanoke anyway, on 220 S)!

Thanks Lonny. Such a simple idea, and I'm disappointed I never thought to do that myself. The pink wire in question connects to 2 pink wires on the body harness, each going to one of the seat heater switches. I think it's safe to assume these wires are not needed and can be removed from the harness.

What? I love having seat heaters in mad Max. Extends the driving season, and adds creature comfort for the hoity toity passenger who wasn't suspecting mad Max is a luxury vehicle. Just put the heater pads under the seat cover... you already have the wire.

Although cleaning the seat after that passenger discovers there is more than luxury in Max, CAN BE AN ISSUE.

That puts a new meaning to “baked on dirt and grime”
