Dyno tuning a goblin

Hey guys a have a stock LNF in my goblin. I’ve heard people say they have taken their goblin to zzp for a tune and are very happy with it. I’ve read others buying hp tuner and doing it them selfs. I’ve never tuned before but I was thinking of buying hp tuners to maybe do a remote tuning with zzp to save on a road trip. Iam looking for feedback and advice. Is learning to tune hard? Is it better to learn and do it yourself? One of my big thing I wanna fix is the super sensitive throttle response in first gear, turn that down a bit so it’s drivable. Any help is appreciated! I had never tuned before the Goblin either, but I bought HP Tuners to learn, and wanted to turn off as many check-engine-lights as possible, tune the engine for the short DF intake & exhaust, and eventually get to modifying my engine. www.tuning101.com has a bunch of free videos to watch, which should help you decide if you want to learn tuning.

The supercharged LSJ engines use a P12 PCM, which is "Generation 3" technology in his videos.

The LNF and LSJ HPT Tuner tables are different so you would be able to pick up concepts from the vids but probably couldn't follow verbatim. There is a new Tuning section on the site, feel free to check it out and ask your question there - I'll help you out with the sensitivity.

Tuning these LNF's is incredibly easy compared to other platforms - it's an advantage of having such smart vehicles. I learned myself (and continue to learn), best advice is to take it slow and make incremental changes and test as opposed to lots of changes and not know what's throwing off what.
