Welder, tubing bender and drill press would be the minimum required major tools to modify the standard frame to the F40 mod frame. If anyone needs photos or measurements, let me know.
It was no sweat on my end to mod my frame for the F40. I just paid a fab shop to do it. They ended up having to replaced a few bars to get everything to fit back together nicely. The main "frame rail" in the rear(with the trans mount on it) has to be cut out and remade because the F40 barely hits it.
These 2 photos shows the change in angle of the passenger side (all tubes are straight and located directly above/below each other, versus the driver side showing how the top and bottom tubes have a 'kink' in them and the lower tube is actually further outboard than the upper tube.
Also note the transmission mount is different than the F35/F23 mount. It sits a little lower and has a different bolt pattern.
