Goblin Names

Reading through a few postings this morning, it dawned on me that many of us who are building or have completed our Goblin build(s) have nicknamed them (or have been endearingly named by others). I think it would be a good idea to add the nickname to your build thread or add it into this thread - but only if you would like. I know that we have some very clever and thoughtful names for some of our machines. :D

Currently just Project Phoenix, not sure if it will stay Phoenix or if we will give it a name. Knowing my son he may want to name it after the one from Harry Potter haha.
The idea first started because of building a new car from a old car, but after surviving a fire this week it was decided that its the perfect name. We aren't changing the color, its already gonna be orange, but we may change the body panels colors from our original idea and its probably get a flame job or a phoenix/firebird emblem on the hood.

Im no good at nicknames. What would you call her. Build we great with very little issues. Only issue now is getting the clutch pipe to stop leaking at the distribution block.

Funny thing about nicknames is many times they happen because of an event (right Ross?) or someone comes up with it off-hand. Other times your kids, spouse, family or friends attach a name that has a personal meaning - or are just making fun of a situation. Sometimes these things happen rather quickly, other times a name has to be earned or could take some time to happen. But I'm sure one will come to mind and be fitting to the 'personality' of the Goblin. ;):D

My Brother goes to BMW driving day events a lot in NC. They call him "Snapper" for his excellent and consistent forays into mowing the infield! In our stable we have/had, "The Pea Pod", Green 2003 MR2(seats 2, closely), "Old Whitey" 73 p/u, "Black Beauty" 2003 crew cab truck, "The Connie", Conquest motor home, The daughter's Trail Blazer "The Beast"(as in Beauty and), "Big Red", 05 crew 4w/d truck, "Wit Bucky" white little truck in Afrikaans, Tiny Dancer, 2001 short bed 2w/d truck does many 180*'s in Montana snow. Many names bestowed by others, Black Beauty has a good story. My neighbor swears he's Irish though outwardly he is quite obviously American "of African decent" (as he says). He borrowed Blackie for a month or so. He decided, "I know! We'll Call It Ni-. umm on second thought I'll have to get back to you on that one!" He decided "Black Beauty", being an old Irish Story is it's proper name! Lil' Thunder, a 96 Toyota (truck package from the SE Toyota Dealers with special option pack they called Thunder Trucks) Lil' Thunder was probably the last surviving example in north Atlanta. Replaced by a 1988 Chevy 1/2 LWB 5 speed V-8 in that very common dark red, we call him Ron Burgundy. And That's the News
