What do you guys think about this trailer that a guy at work is selling for $500

Hard to say if the quality is any better than the tag along trailer at Northern Tool new for $619. Minus what ever coupon available.

If you hold the tongue on that trailer flat (ideal position), I think it will be quite a bit higher than a ball hitch you would attach to the lower engine cradle. Maybe it looks high due to the picture's perspective.
Just something to check.

This trailer is molded ABS plastic, while the one you pictured is fiberglass, which probably is lot more sturdy.

I use a 5” riser hitch on mine with the tag along from Northern Tool. Seemed to work ok the one too one I’ve used it.

Probably is better if it’s in good shape and has decent axles. And probably hasn’t been used much since most of these small trailers don’t. But I’d offer him $400.
