I didn't see anything about the grommet on the DF issued headlights. I'm starting with these but the supplied grommet has a LARGE hole that doesn't seem to take water into account. I've been looking for a replacement at the auto parts store every time I stop in for other items.
I got lucky, again, today. While working on wiring the tail lights, I noticed I could use some shielding and had some the correct size on the battery "hot" wire that we shortened. Also on that wire was a grommet. I'm thinking it was from inside the car through the firewall to the starter. That grommet is a perfect fit! It fits the headlight and the 1/4" wire wrap fits out the small end. You could also shorten up the bottom if you wanted a cleaner look. I'm not sure how I'm going to use it . . . . . but now I have to find another one!
