So some things have changed since the last trailer I built. So for those of you that haven't started the process this is how it goes.
Download and print this form https://www.in.gov/bmv/files/Special_ID_Number_MVIN_Vehicle_App_Packet.pdf
Fill out what you can and have a police/sheriff come and inspect the car and make sure that he?she notes that it has turn signals, horn, hazards, ect.
Skip the trip to the BMV because this step is done via mail. Dont forget the $10 check like I did (week and a half delay)
You should get your T-1N form back within 2 weeks. From there make/purchase a VIN plate and secure it to the frame, Have officer come and verify and sign the T-1N.
Take that form to the BMV branch and apply for a title. You can also register it at the same time! IF you have insurance! I thought I had a few more weeks to wait on the title before I could register it so now waiting on approval from the insurance company.
In short if you get all your ducks in a row the whole process can be done in under 3 weeks.
