LNF Knowledge

If you've got the time, ZZP just dropped a video where they detail the LNF and give you knowledge that you may have never known. At one point they go on to say "the LNF rods and pistons are every bit as strong as the LSJ ones."
I like the way that the guy on the right explains things.

Hmm, the pistons in the LNF are not forged, believe they are hypereutectic(?). The rods are forged. So likely strong enough for 350ish HP - with longevity - or 400ish HP if you live vicariously, at least on a fresh engine. The LSJ internals are all forged and good for north of 400ish HP, also on a fresh engine. These numbers will give more reliability and are about as far up the ladder that a street driven Goblin should be pushed. This is according to many different sources on the web, and the forum, (some with real world knowledge), but some are pushing far past these numbers. Your experience may vary depending upon the quality of the build and the age of the wear items. Personally, I'm not certain I would like to be sitting in front of a hand grenade with HP numbers north of those stated above, or have to pull the engine too often to fix/replace when it goes off. But if it's strictly a track Goblin, the sky's the limit and build what you would like - Justin Reed is the high watermark for those who will be tracking their cars.

The hypereutectic pistons in my Mustang have over 60k miles running 12 psi at 420 hp at the wheels. I think 350 on an LNF and slightly over 400 on an LSJ are very conservative estimates. That being said, any time you modify an engine there are risks regardless of its freshness.
