Malibu Bearing

I’m installing the Front Bearing Hubs today. They definitely bolt right into place. However, the issue I’m having once I installed the calipers, the rotor is hitting an won’t spin freely.

I think 2 of the calipers have cutouts to clear the front rotors, if I recall on my SSTC build 2 calipers fit and 2 hit the front rotors.

so be sure to check that.

Thanks for the reply.
Currently the rotor is hitting towards the outside.
The Rotor is from DF. The Bearing was Malibu non-ABS. Adding the plastic ring supplied from DF to the hub before installing Rotor made the issue worse. I can remove an compare to Donor unit tomorrow.
I did a quick comparison of the new Malibu Units being used in the rear to Donor Fronts an see no difference.

I just watched the DF video again an the plastic ring is for 4 lug wheels. I’m building a SS an wondering if the Brake Caliber is the same for Non SS an SS Versions?

As far as I remember the SS gets all 4 new brakes and they are basically 4 of the same caliper as the base model has on a cobalt. You should have 5 lug wheels, unless your building an SS/SC and switching to the base model 4 lug. Which you can't as easily do with a turbo car.

You can shim the caliper.

I believe the bearings I purchased are defective.
i added the spacers an was able to have nice clearance. However, when I spin the wheel, the Rotor moves in an out 1/8 to 3/16”. Yikes!!
I removed the Rotor an spun the Bearing an I can see the wobble.

That will give you the off-road experience!
