V1 O2 Sensor

Typically all of the Goblins will run 1 O2 sensor. The only time to run two sensors is if you are adding back in the catalytic convertor and need the second O2 for emissions testing.

The LNF turbo does use a wideband as the primary O2 sensor so a second wideband isn't needed for tuning if that is your question.

Just to clarify for those who might not know- The second O2 sensor is strictly for checking catalytic converter efficiency. That's it. This is true for almost all vehicles using before and after converter O2 sensors.
So if not using a converter, leave out (and tune out) the second O2 sensor

I have an N/A (for now) that I want to tune. I'm running both O2 sensors. Can I "replace" my second one (ie wire it into the same plug) with a wideband of some sort?

I also did some poking around. It's been so long since I did the wiring harness, I don't really remember what I did with the AC stuff. The car had AC, so the sensor was on the car at one point. I'll have to go look on lunch and see if the sensor plug is still on the harness or if I chopped it.

Even if you chopped it off, the pins at the ECM should still be there and could be reconnected.

I assumed so as well. Found it in my wiring diagram... Just need to find it on the connector later.

What version of HP Tuner are you using and what wideband. It might be just as easy to hook the wideband directly to HP Tuner.

Latest MPVI2+ (without the pro feature thing). Bought it a couple weeks ago

If you get the correct wideband you can hook it directly to HP Tuner. I don't know if there are any advantages/disadvantages either way.

That would be an interesting option too. I just know I'll need it for boosted (supercharged) tuning so I'll have to get it setup one way or another. I'm only like an hour or so from ZZP... but I don't thinking they're doing in person tuning right now. On their website it says "in person flash" is "out of stock" I might call later to confirm.

I assume this is probably what you were talking about? https://www.hptuners.com/product/aem-x-series-obdii-wideband-afr-controller-gauge/

That is one option that would work. There are others also. I think there is also a way to feed the signal from the wideband directly into HP T without the gauge. It's hard to figure out some of the intricacies of HPT since their product descriptions are not very extensive and the info on the forums can be years out of date. I didn't have to dig into it since my LNF had the wideband as OEM.

Really the only disadvantage is you either have to keep the interface in the car attached to the signal wire, or tape off the signal wire when you remove it from the interface and remove the interface from the car. If you go straight to the ECM via the refrigerant pressure signal wire, you can remove the HP Tuners interface from the car whenever you want. But obviously that's a moot point if you don't have the pro interface.

I bought the AEM one linked above a few minutes ago. If it doesn't work I figure I'll just return it and go the AC route.
