SS Heat Exchanger

Just curious what methods people have used to wire up the cooling fan for the heat exchanger on the SS donor Goblins.

Hung it up high, no fan needed. Tried it behind the drivers head & near the middle, no heat issues.

I personally ran a new 10 gauge wire through a switch in my dash panel so I can turn it on/off when I want, Since the 2 10" fans are kinda loud I did not want them running whem I was just cruising around. Connected the hot to the main power wire coming from battery Then I just grounded the fans to the rear frame ground by the fuse box.

I had totally forgotten to wire in my heat exchanger fan when I did the wiring for my Goblin. I had built a relay harness to power the fan and pump and then used a 12v circuit (ABS) as a trigger for the relay.

Was just curious, as I figure with some guys running higher amperage electric fans and not wanting to add additional relays to the harness… The rear window defog circuit looks like a great candidate, if the fan/HE will be located at the aft portion of the car.

I went relay because I thought that might time out or have to be reset after every shutoff. I wasn't sure what the controls were for that circuit.
