I wasn't sure where to post this as there wasn't a sub for steering of any sort. Is there a way to shorten (move the wheel towards the front of the car) the position of the steering wheel? I feel it is too close to me. Appreciate the thoughts, options and what others have done.

Sure. Shorten the tube that goes between the column drop and the bearing or relocate the column drop for starters.

if you shorten it make sure you have room between the top of the wheel and windshield. A few builders have lowered their wheels adding a spacer between the mount.

If you want to retain the power steering and only want to move the wheel in a little, you can relocate these two bolts further in.

I've lowered the column drop with spacers and cut the tube appropriately in half. No pictures at the moment.
