Turbo rear left cowling installation

Preparing to trim the left engine cover.

Is there some secret trick or strategy I’m missing here? There seems no way of installing the left side without first completely removing the fuse box cover (thus keeping it off), and then still a high potential of destroying any vinyl wrap job while installing.

I know some just cut the aft up higher but I was hoping to not have to do that.

I loosened the fuse box mounts and took off the lid. I also unbolted the heat exchanger and set it on the fuel tank to give me a little extra room to work with.

I really wish the body panels fit better, I had to abandon the pre-drilled holes in my side panels because there was no way it was going to fit as intended... I just drilled my own. I think the rear cowl and heat blocker box thing are some of the worst culprits in terms of fitment.

Also, i had cut away some material that hangs off the rear lip of the engine covers to help with getting them positioned.
